The Aegis is Dartmouth College’s award winning yearbook.

The Aegis yearbook is dedicated to capturing the beauty of Dartmouth. In our attempts to fill the book's pages with the passions, experiences, and perspectives of the students at the College, we help save a bit of what Dartmouth is every year.

All students are welcome to join regardless of past experience or class year! Students can be involved with the photography, layout, or business teams of putting the book together. We invite students to join and add their voices to our 2022-2023 book!

Our mission is to educate and lead Dartmouth undergraduates in hip-hop/breaking dance forms and attend competitions. Additionally, we aim to foster inclusivity, excellence and artistic growth in hip-hop dance and culture on campus by providing free, high-quality and learning-focused dance sessions and community on campus. We will host professional breakdancers sponsored by Red Bull to come and teach workshops that are open to all dancers on campus. We will also host regular practices where anyone can come and explore the art and learn the fundamentals of hip-hop dance. We will also regularly compete in breakdancing competitions around twice a term in the Boston or New Jersey area where we will connect with the greater breakdancing and hip-hop community outside of the Upper Valley. We strive to create an inclusive, encouraging and diverse dance environment that unites dancers from all over campus and strive to elevate artistry of hip-hop culture and expression on campus through the interchanging of artistic expression between professional dancers, advanced student dancers and all members.

Dartmouth Club Tennis is an Organization that fosters meaningful relationships amongst players through consistent practices, competitions, and social events, such as team dinners and end-of-term player award celebration. As a student-led team, players will learn to plan trips, raise money for the club, and manage the group’s on-campus activities, such as practice and tryouts.

Membership in the Organization shall be determined through a 2-day tryout that happens annually at the start of Fall Term. The Dartmouth Gymnastics Club aims to unite Dartmouth students of all abilities through the practice of gymnastics. In increasing students’ mobility, strength, and agility, Dartmouth Gymnastics Club will work to make our campus healthier and help train any student interest in the sport. The club will be based on the pillars of discipline, strength, and fun which will both allow students to enjoy this amazing sport and spend time with other like-minded students motivated to become better all-around athletes.

As an organization, Club Gymnastics will focus on two main things: regular exercise and increasing basic-advanced gymnastic ability. As such, we expect club members to prioritize at least one team workout per week at the gymnastics gym and one team conditioning session per week at the gym on campus (priority would be placed on the gymnastics training). Because this team will be open to all Dartmouth students regardless of their gymnastics experience/ability, we expect members to focus on improving their gymnastic discipline - in hopes of being able to create short routines on the apparatuses of their choosing. The primary mission of Dartmouth Men's Club Volleyball is to provide its members with competitive volleyball play. Dartmouth Water Polo works hard for its short season, with preseason training camp during the Summer-Fall interim and off-campus practices at White River Junction's Upper Valley Aquatic Center (UVAC), which generously allows the team to use its 25-meter all-deep pool.

Being part of the team is about more than just competition and practice. In the offseason, the team practices one to two times a week, and also hosts social events throughout the year. We are, first and foremost, a tight-knit community.

Though water polo at Dartmouth is a club sport, the team trains rigorously and as hard as varsity programs during its main season. The team is open to all students of the College or any of its graduate programs.

Dartmouth Taekwondo is currently Dartmouth's only martial arts club. We are a student-run organization founded in 1984 and we compete with other schools in the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference (ECTC). We meet several times a week, compete two to three times a year, and perform in one demonstration on campus. Dartmouth Taekwondo is offered fall, winter, spring, and summer for club and PE credit (except summer). No experience is required.

The club will be based on the pillars of discipline, strength, and fun which will both allow students to enjoy this amazing sport and spend time with other like-minded students motivated to become better all-around athletes.

As an organization, Club Gymnastics will focus on two main things: regular exercise and increasing basic-advanced gymnastic ability. As such, we expect club members to prioritize at least one team workout per week at the gymnastics gym and one team conditioning session per week at the gym on campus (priority would be placed on the gymnastics training). Because this team will be open to all Dartmouth students regardless of their gymnastics experience/ability, we expect members to focus on improving their gymnastic discipline - in hopes of being able to create short routines on the apparatuses of their choosing. In general, a positive growth-mindset attitude and a passion for the sport of gymnastics will be the main components of creating a strong gymnastics team on campus.

D-LAB (Dartmouth Leadership Attitudes and Behaviors) is a student-facilitated program designed for first-year students to discover the relationship between leadership and personal values. Through self-reflection and challenging discussion, students will soon find their place among the Dartmouth community and beyond. Through this program, participants explore their individual beliefs and values, and how these relate to who they are striving to be. They will also analyze the relationship between perception, intent, and impact and work to align their core values with the greater community. Participants will attend consecutive weekly sessions in the winter term. Each session covers a different topic that builds upon the last in an intentional way. Participants will enjoy a mix of instruction, small group work, and case study work. D-LAB is co-sponsored by the Rockefeller Center and the Office of Student Life.

Foley House is a non-exclusive, co-ed household where all residents share responsibilities and decision-making. By cooking and eating together and sharing household chores, a bank account, a phone line and a television, Foley House residents form important lasting relationships. Residents participate in the planning and preparing of meals and activities and are responsible for the general upkeep of the facility. Residents intellectually engage with each other and people representing a broad swath of the academic and artistic communities at Dartmouth by inviting faculty, staff, artists and campus guests to participate in Foley House dinners.
