Mission
Founded in 1985, Ujima Dance Troupe is the oldest dance group on campus. Named after the third Kwanzaa principle meaning collective work and responsibility, Ujima takes pride in their name as a core value that distinguishes their work, performance, and group dynamic. Primarily a hip-hop group, Ujima intertwines it with other dance styles to bring Dartmouth's campus a vibrant and energetic dance experience. Ujima welcomes students from all backgrounds and even ones with no experience.
